Making a Difference

James came on board as an Active Coach in 2017 delivering football coaching in schools in the Merseyside area whilst completing his degree. Through continued development in his degree by 2019 James had moved up to an Active Professional leading sessions and camps in both Liverpool and also in Warrington his hometown.

Following his graduation in Sport Development and Coaching James decided to pursue a career route in Sport Development. Active Sports Group established a new role within the company that aligned with James’ skillset and ambitions. Since coming into the role James has played a key role in driving Head Office efficiencies across coach management, development and recruitment. Most recently he has taken further responsibility on in driving growth across the Warrington area. This has being achieved through establishing new school contracts whilst creating partnerships with local colleges to create a new streamline of future active coaches.

James Cliff commented,  "I joined Team Active as a student whilst studying a Sports degree at Edge Hill University. Having graduated I have progressed into the role of Sport Development Assistant for the company. I am really excited about the projects we are currently working on, the team at Head Office is really strong and we all share the same passion and values to provide the best sporting opportunities to young people."
